Date night

Sometimes I get ahead of myself and I have these crazy ideas that come into my head and my husband is nice and he just goes along with me. So I had promised my friends at work that I would bring in homemade donuts. Then we got a hold of a Cinnamon rolls recipe that we wanted to try and it was chicken wing Friday. So on Friday we made home made chicken wings, rolls and donuts. Let me tell you when the oven is on for so long it gets a little messy and hot in this tiny apartment. Overall we were very successful and here are the pictures to prove it!








So my husband was wonderful and made the rolls all my himself and I made the donuts and chicken wings and then there is us at the end of the night full and tired!

I am trying to be creative

So I found this craft on ourbestbites.com and it was so cute I had to try it. You just needed Mason Jars and tissue paper and glue! I think they turned out really cute. Well not as cute as I really wanted but good for me!

So to start off this is our kitchen that has stuff every where on the counter tops but we probably use it all (most of the time)


This is our fun table. If you look you can see little boxes on the table. My mother bought my Charlie Brown Halloween ornaments, they are so freaking cute!


This is our living/family room. If you notice on the blue chair our first pet together (pillow pet) we love him and we have fun hiding him around the apartment so the other person finds him randomly!

This is our extra room which is the office where if one of us has homework and the other does this is where we go to get it done.

Finally this is the closet that we hide everything extra in. I try to keep the doors close for the most part but sometimes they just bust open from amount of stuff....

Back to school

I figured since I have some free time I should update you all on my exciting married life in Rexburg, Id. School has officially started and so far its going to be a long semester. Luck enough for both me and Jake we have jobs on campus, he starts at 7:45-11 everyday working as a secretary in the academic advisory center, which he has to wear shirt and tie every day which he doesn't enjoy but he looks really good in. I on the other had only work three days a week at the gym on campus working 5 am-10. It is not so bad and we have a lot of down time at work that we are able to work on homework. We are living in a really cute two bedroom apartment, called Peterson Pointe. Jake is taking 15 credits this semester which includes Organic Chemistry which he swears is going to be the death of him. I am taking seventeen credits and with me major I feel like all the class are the same and overlap so either that is going to make life easy or become really annoying. The weather up here is still looking nice which is a plus for the first week of school by it can go from good to horrible in a matter of days so were keeping our fingers crossed that it stays good. I was so good and took pictures of my apartment to post but they are still on my camera at home so hopefully I will be able to post them within the next day. O also in our ward every one either has a baby or is pregnant OR is on their third child. Every one says that's what I get for moving into a two bedroom apartment so hopefully it is not something in the water at church or I am going to start becoming inactive (not really). Well that's my little update on our lives. Jake wants me to change my blog name because I am not Just Sam Busath any more so if any one has any suggestions I am open for them cause I am just not creative!

Dear Blog World,
Sorry that I have been nonexistence in the past couple weeks. Things have been just busy busy busy. I am finally finishing up my online classes in the next couple weeks. Then the big day comes. I am going to be getting married to this man....


In 25 Days!!!!!!!!!! Then sadly I will have to move my blog because I wont be Just Sam Busath any more. I will be Sam Peterson (weird). So I hope to get on top of blogging again soon after the wedding but we will see :)

Missing Someone

Just a disclaimer before reading the rest I love all my siblings equally. They all mean the world to me and I love being with all of them!!

But....

There is one that I am really missing right now. My oldest. She is living her new adventure in idaho. I am so proud of the courage that she has shown and the love and support she has given her family. She is doing great and living life and getting use to the changes of not being in California any more but let me just say I miss her. I don't want her to come back cause that would be wrong of me but I do miss her. I love her dearly and soon enough we will be a little closer together when I go back to school but I just have to say that it is still a little wierd that I can't go over to here house before work and she will fix me lunch. But I love our random phone calls and we will probably get into picture messaging more so i can see her boys. I love her!

So this blog is a shout out to her that I love her and miss her but so proud of her and I look up to her for all the courage that she has shown and want to thank her for all the support that she has always given me!

I wish I had pictures!

So this is a shout out to my wonderful sisters that threw me a wedding shower! I took lots of pictures so I could post them for every one to see how amazing it was but sadly I took them on my mom camera and don't have that with me up at school. This BBQ shower was amazing and the found was great and the weather was perfect even if i did get a sun burn on my arms! But thank you sisters for coming together and working so hard to make me feel special cause you truly did! Thank you so much and I love you so much and thank you for every one that came!

Just a little update

So I thought it could be fun to give every one a little back round on Jake and I. Me and Jake became friends in April. He came home from school and started to attend the singles ward. We became friends in the beginning and then started to hang out a lot more and then started to hang out one on one around august. Summer was coming to a close and Jake would be heading back to school soon and I did not want to be a what if person so I told him I liked him more then a friend. He said that he liked me to but he did not want to do long distance he said we could date when I am up to BYU I in the winter. I was sadly heart broken but it was fine he said he promised that we would remain friends. So I started to go to school and he went back to Idaho. Come to find out he did not realize how much he liked me until he left. So we continued to talk. I had planned a trip to conference so he promised he would come down to see me in October in Provo. He did and when he came down he took me to his missionary reunion and asked me to FINALLY be his girl friend. That weekend went by two fast and thats when we started our long distance relationship. I returned to Idaho in november to check out the campus with my parents but in reality to see Jake and have him meet my parents. That weekend was amazing and got my really excitied to start attending BYUI. So then time went out he came home for thanksgiving and christmas and then we went to BYU I together. This experiences has been amazing and has taught me alot like I didn't think I could miss my family this much and also the library is your best friend and will help you get good grades. So time went on and I was missing my family so my dad had boughten me a ticket home to see my nephew Lucas get baptized. So I was really hoping that Jake would ask me to marry him by then cause we had be talking about it alot. So the day before I leave he picks me up to go to the library and he tells me he is in a bad mood. The reason being is that he had ordered me a ring and he was going to be the best boy friends ever cause i would have it before i left but they had ordered the wrong ring. My heart sank but I put on a happy face and said it was fine. The next day he asked me if i wanted to go to dinner with him sense i would be gone the whole weekend so we got all dressed up and went to olive garden which it was nice then we drove home. We went to his apartment and I had to many soda's so i went to use the bathroom ( Don't worry the bathroom is down stairs the rooms are up stairs so I wasn't breaking BYUI rules ) I come out to find him holding a beautiful thing of gerber daisy. I asked him is this for not being able to get the ring he looked at me and said that he had that to. He put the flowers down and got done on one knee and asked me to marry him! So....
I AM GETTING MARRIED !!!!!!
on July 30 and I am so excited.

LIFESAVER LIST

Today in class we had to do a lifesaver list. It was things that save you or things that you would die if they were not in your life. So here is my lifesaver list and it could not include people or just a random object like pillows or blankets.

If you need something to do.

Up at school I am taking a children lit class which is basically me reading a billion children books. Our "text book" for this class is called "The Read Aloud Handbook" by Jim Trelease. This book is all about the importance of reading out loud to children and about what books can do for children growing up. I have enjoyed this so much that I thought I would share it will you. So if you ever wonder if you should read to your children or is it really worth it... it is!! I would urge all to read this book its very inspiring and will make you want to read to your kids every night starting from day one.

Well now that it is week four

I feel like I should blog again. The sad thing is I don't have any thing to blog about. School is crazy and my new best friend is the library. Who knew I could learn to be quiet for long period of time. It's weird I know. Let me tell you it pays off. I just took my first test as a college student in the testing center and I walked away thinking that I did pretty well. So I guess all those hours studying really do pay off. Watch, I get my test back and I did horrible. Just cross your fingers for me. Other then studying I haven't done all that much. I have found my favorite burger joint ever! One pro to rexburg is this burger joint called Sammys. It is truly the best burger I have ever had. Well maybe I was a little hungry when I eat it but still it was super good. They have really good milk shakes too. I treated myself to one of them yesterday! Thats right it was 20 degrees outside and I was eating a milk shake. Well thats my life burgers and studying. What is happening to me in this place! Well I will try to be better with the pictures but who wants pictures of snow cause its every where. I do have one picture. We were lucky enough to enjoy a three day weekend thank you Dr. Martin Luther King. Jake and I went down to Logan, Utah to visit him family down there. It was a really fun trip and we are hoping to go again. But here is a picture of us bowling for his cousins birthday

Week One

So I did it!I survived a week of school. It was not a full week only Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Classes went well. I have to say it was a little different then crc. First off at crc we never started class with a prayer but it was really cool to have that happen on the first day at BYU I and it happens in every class. Lucky for me I haven't fallen on the ice yet (cross your fingers). Other then class its been really fun I have meet a lot of new people in my classes and my room mates are awesome. I am the the wise one, not really just the oldest one so that is not saying much. The most tragic thing ever is that I haven't taken any picture yet except for my bedroom so I could blog about it. Sad I know, so hopefully next blog has really cute pictures of me in the snow or something cool like that.

So we made it.

So there are up and downs to moving to Idaho. Meeting new friends, Starting a new school, and trying new things those are definetly up sides. The longest drive known to man kind just not my favorite. We had a good time. Took some good naps but still the drive lasted a little to long for my liking. So now were here sitting in the hotel room. I move in tomorrow at 8 am and the start of my new adventure begins. Stay tuned for pictures and fun stories. I figured since I am not working while I am here I should keep up with this blog.
Side note: You never know how much stuff you have untill you have to pack it all up. Six tubberwares and four boxes later .....
