Thanks dad for an awesome trip!

So last week my dad comes to me on Sunday and was like hey lets go to Utah this weekend. I look at him and I say are you serious and he was like yea i want to go see an old comp of mine from the mission. But we can't go there for one reason. So he goes ok lets see if Katie Jensen needs a ride home and then that makes too and we can go. So i was like ok dad if you really want to I will go with you. So over the next couple days his comp didn't return his phone calls (his phone was broken). So we didn't know if we were going all week so then on thursday he goes we are just going to go and stalk him till we see him. So what did we do packed up our bags and headed out friday morning at 5:30 bound for utah! So we took turns driving finally we make it utah and he wants to go to see his comp first so we go and he is not home so we leave a note then drive to provo. And set off to find a hotel and its harder then it looks it was graduation weekend so it took us three hotel's till we found one with only two rooms left so after that we went out to dinner with a bunch of friends from utah(Brittany, Heidi, Katie, Bri, Matt, Brandon, John) which was amazing! then the girls went to see date night and cried cause we were laughing so hard like seriously after i my stomach hurt so bad. (Go see it!). So the next day was dad's day we went and picked up katie and her stuff then headed to Calabela's (probably didn't spell that right) where we looked around got a hat. After that we went to his comp's house that he hadn't seen in 37 years so to say the least he was so excitied! So we went and saw him for couple hours and then chatted it up about each others life and it was pretty cute. After that it was time to head to salt lake temple to walk around. Which turned into creepy people watching. Me, katie and dad def sat on the temple grounds just watching brides come on and take their pictures :) it was fun. After that we started the drive home just till elko, nevada then slept for the night then the continued the rest of our journey. Over all great three days. Got to do so much and spend three days with dad.

O a trip to utah

So a last week I got to go to utah for conference weekend and to see a bunch of friends that are going to BYU provo! So the week went amazing i got to catch up with alot of friends and there lives got to do some fun provo stuff and got to eat at the most amazing place ever tucanos if you have never been please go i don't know where they are located i have only seen one in provo and salt lake. but trust me when i say its amazing! Also i got to go to the saturday morning session of conference with some friends and i love being in the conference center the spirt is so strong its simply amazing and to be in the same room with a prophet of god is just over whelming i am hoping to go again this oct! i hope. It was amazing trip and a fun spring break for me. Over all the trip was amazing and i love my friends and glad i could see every one! And i have to saying flying to utah is the way to go it was so nice to get on a flight for an hour and twenty min instead of a twelve hour drive!

I love shooting guns! how horrible is that i know.. but the ward had an activity where we all got together and went to a shooting range in the middle of no where and it took forever to get there but anyways it was super fun. I had never shot a gun before so we went and my friend Spencer had brought his shot gun and we got to practice shooting at clay pigeon. Over all i have to say it was a blast! I can shoot anything let alone even hold the gun right but i don't care i had a blast and i can't wait to go again.

Also to have to clay pigeon fly out you had to push this button thingy so i took it on as my job so every time some said PULL! i had to push the button and let me tell you it was not as easy as it sounds

Taxs Time

So its has been awhile since I have written on this blog. I wish I could say that I have been super busy with work which is sort of true. Or that i have been doing lots of school work and that's kinda true to but it's mostly lazyness that has gotten the best of me when it comes to this blog. So anyways as many of you know its that wonderful tax season again and amazingly enough this year i got some back. And i whenever i get my tax back i don't like to use them to pay bills or do serious things. I like to use it for something fun so this year I am using the money that i got back to go down to provo to see some friends for general conference during my spring break which i am super excited about to have a break from school and to have some much needed friend time. Also I was at the church book store the other day and you have to know that you can never walk into the church book store with out spending money. So me and mom enjoy going so i walked into the store just starting look around when i a picture caught my eye and i have a shopping problem as many of you know when i see something that i love i have to buy it. It is not something i can just talk myself out of it doesn't work that way so i looked at it walked around the store came back looked at walked around the store again then finally after sending a picture to two good friends asking if i should get it i finally bought it. So here is my new picture of the sacramento temple, which my mom likes to say its a great invest me to my life. But thank you government for giving my a little spending money i enjoyed it very much and can't belive its all gone....

CUTTER!!!

So every year our family gets together and goes to cut down a christmas tree. We go up to placer ville and has breakfast and then we continue to apple hill where we go to Carson Christmas Tree where we then wander around for like an hour to find the perfect tree. After yelling CUTTER!! like fourteen million time, one comes and finds us and cuts down our tree where we then carry it down the hill to take it home. We have been going for Four or Five years as my dad just described to me. And every year we take a family picture so here are some fun pictures from the day. Also included in these pictures are a advent calendar that i made with my sisters after thanksgiving!

Last year Logan came up with us and even got in our family picture so we thought it would be fun to send him a picture of me and a space for him. Just so he would know he was missed. So the caption under this picture should say insert logan here lol


Finally after thanks giving all the sisters got together to make advent calendars ( Sorry you couldn't make it meg we missed you) But here is my finally product. It was fun to get together and just sit around crafting and talking but i am not going to lie that after the fourth hour of working on this i was getting a little grumby with it! but i am happy for it turned out

Happy Turkey Day

So i was making my home made rolls and i needed something to do while the dough was raising. So i decided its been awhile since i have blogged and it is thanksgiving tomorrow so i thought take this opportunity to express what i am thankful for this holiday seasons. And i am going to do it in groups cause i was thinking about and how i could go one forever on every one and i think there is probably a limit on how much you can write on a blog....
To start with i am thank full for my parents and the home and the family that they have built and created. I am thankful for my sisters and the humor and the laughter that we share with each other. I am thankful for my brothers and the love and support that they give me. I am thankful for the gospel that i was blessed to be born into. I am thankful for my friends for the fun and the love that we have for each other. I am thankful for my other family(Petersens) and the love, support and kindness that they show to me every day. I am thankful for my friends that are out on mission and the love and devotion that they show to the gospel by choosing to serve the lord for two years. Finally i am thankful for the opportunity to be sharing thanksgiving with the people i love. I hope that every one that comes across this will have an amazing thanksgiving and remember to be thankful for what you have.

Twenty things about me ready set go.....
1. I love finding dessert in the microwave. I sometimes even check even if its not in there just hoping that maybe put something in there be surprise
2. I think I have more guy friends then girl friends....why i have no idea
3. I have to sleep with the window open even if it is freezing cold just so i can snuggle up in a blanket to sleep
4. I sleep like an infant a pillow for my head and then one on each side. I can't sleep with out the pillows that way
5. I hate getting gas. It seriously puts me in a bad mood all that money gone so quickly it is just upsetting.
6. I hate school. Literally hate school but i wont give up till i am done.
7. I love books. I would quit life and just stay home and read. I love staying up to the late hours just to finish a book.
8. I am almost positive i am addict to face book.
9. I am even more positive that i am still addict to Pepsi.
10. As of now i am going to school to get my degree in child education and from there hopefully become a health teacher.
11. I can quote a lot of movies.... I mean a lot
12. I love getting my hair done. I love feeling this new born self confidence when i am done. And i also love that i sit there at chat it up with my hair dresser like sisters.
13. I love and hate that i have a big brother. He is some times so loving and caring and sometimes he makes fun of me and i want to kick him in his leg
14. Sometimes i think why do i need friends when i have SO MANY SISTERS! to hang out with. Then i realize that none of them will come out and play with me after nine.
15. I love my parents. My dad has become my new friend and i love that he is a stay at home dad now. I love my mom cause she looks forward to Saturdays most weekend cause we run errands together.
16. I love the church and the difference that it makes in my life.
17. I love my calling as much as it stresses me out. I love to see people enjoy them selves.
18. I am sacred for the future but I am excited to see what is going to come
19. The last six months have been the most difficult, happy, sad, freaked out, back and forth months so far.
20. Finally i am a hypocrite. I get so mad at people when they don't blog but i never do.

Wow that's giving you readers alot to process. I know that I am the worst blogger ever. But seriously I have nothing to really blog about so for those that check my blog every day waiting for something new here it is ( not to sound cocky or anything).
