A blog about a boy

As many of you already know I am pregnant with a little boy blue. Mr. Wade will be make his appearance the end of March. This has been an interesting experience for me I keep thinking on rough days when nothing sounds good to eat but I have to eat something, I just want to go back to normal. Only to come to the realization that nothing is ever going to be normal again. I couldn't be more excited for Wade to make his arrival. Judging by the ultra sounds he already seems like an active baby.
For those that don't know right now in my pregnancy I am considered high risk. The reasons being is a heart defect as well as other things, the doctors decided to be safe after looking at my past history and put me with a high risk doctor. So far it has been the best thing ever! I get to see him every month and I am collecting lots of picture and videos of him moving around being crazy. Those pictures will be later.
So some fun insights into my life while carrying wade. He loves to eat. I have noticed him (me) wanting more food and getting hungry more often. Sadly I have gained eight pounds. I think four months pregnant and only eight pound that's not bad right? He loves blueberry eggo waffles with milk. I crave that every morning. He also really likes cheese. I am happy to report he finally will let me eat sweets again. For the longest time it wasn't happening but now he is all about Halloween candy and cookies ( now I realize where those eight pounds came from).
I can't feel him moving yet but according to my doctor that is a good thing. She says that he seems like a mover so I should cherish the time and the sleep I have now before I can't feel him.
Now time for the beloved pictures every one wants to see.
1.  Below is the first photo we got of him. Now knowing he was a him he just looks like a floating penguin
 2. This was a big appointment. I had been telling Jake that it was a girl, he would reply and say it was a boy. It even got to the point that he started to believe that it was a girl. This picture is about fourteen weeks along. The doctor was checking his sizing when all of a sudden he turns and just shows up his "business" no shame at all. I look at Jake and he looks at me, thinking is that what I think it is. Finally the doctor said that we had a little boy in our hands! I couldn't believe that we could know so early. She said when it is a boy you know it is a boy. Jake was so excited. I think it took him every thing he had not to jump up and down.
 3. Finally a picture from today, I am now eighteen weeks pregnant. This baby is crazy he was just sitting on his head. You could see he was trying move himself but couldn't so he was just wiggling like crazy.
Until next time... maybe I will include a picture of myself by then.

The little blog that could.

You all have been wondering, why does Sam even have a blog she never updates it! I know I have been really slacking and I have come up with some excuses as to why. One I am not very good with words, I don't really know what to say. Two, if you are friends with my on facebook you should know what is happening in my life. Finally three, I don't really have anything fun and exciting to update the world about. So I will give you a update and see if I can keep this up. Probably not but here goes nothing.

First off Jake and I graduate from college in December him in health science and me in child development. Jake and I were lucky enough to have Jake receive a job offer right out of school. So we graduate from school ran home and played with the family over Christmas then moved to sunny San Diego. Where we are now. Jake is working at Occupational Service Inc. I am working at a La Petite as a preschool teacher. We are still getting use to southern California, we have done a lot of exploring. We have found some fun places for people to go to if they come to visit us. I am still learning all the freeways and which ways they go but I am getting better. I do know how to get to the important places like target and in n out so I will survive.

Other then that I feel like we work all week and get to see each other on the weekends, people will tell me: Welcome to adulthood

Jake and I have decided that going to school was a lot easier then have full time jobs but you can't just go to school forever.

Overall we love each other and we love this new adventure we are on. It is hard to be away from family but that's life. I will try to document stuff that we do and the places we explore so I will have something to blog about.

Back on track!

This week was alot better then last week. I learned a one thing on the way, I don't really enjoy lean cusines but they work so I am going to stick with them until I can't take it any more. So this week I was down two pounds which is good from where I was last week. Also one thing I always think about when weighting myself is what I ate the past week that could of made that number go down even more. For example my first thought was maybe if I haven't baked cookies then I could of lost three pounds or if i hadn't eaten two mini donuts it could of been more but being a cops daughter (stereo typically I know) I just can't say no to donuts they are amazing and I love them so don't judge! Also I really believe that drinking 64oz a day of water is really helping me I don't know how but it works. Also the stationary bike seat is to small and uncomfortable for my butt so I hope by the end of this weight lost maybe it will fit on the seat. I can't promise anything but it is a goal. Now some motivating quotes because I can!

Other then that life is going well. We moved in with my parents this past week and it has been nice. My dad bought this cool air conditioner thing that goes in the window and let me tell you it is amazing! Also this week we had a sleep over with Tracy family because her husband was out of town and it was alot of fun. I am hoping tracy had fun as well. Also last saturday I took Jill to ride a horse for her birthday. She got on the horse and then some one asked her if she was excitied? She said "Not Really" can you believe that kid! So I told her to get off then she got excitied so below are some pictures that I have enjoyed this week

It was a bad week...

As commisoner of my weight lose program I have decided that there are some weeks that just don't count for you or against you. This week is one of those weeks. It was a mix between eating out and being to tired to exercise that just led me to not weight myself this morning for the fear of what was going to look back at me. So I have decided that this was my lazy week and its time to get up and moving again and get motivated. So last week doesn't count but this week it is my goal for not being tired get the best of me anymore. I saw this and loved it.

“There are 1440 mins in the day, can’t you spare 30 of them for exercise?”

So starting after work it is a new week and its going to be a great out come. I have recently found this website that is just some quick exercise tip and motivating says and I love it and saved it to go back and use some exercise tips from there and I thought I would share it will you all maybe it will encourage you as well.

** So sorry to be a disappointment to myself and others this week but there was not weigh in today but next week I will strive so there will be some improvement.

Also to help with my wieght lost I have decided to purchase a jump rope. One because who doesn't love a good ole fashion jump rope and two I need something extra to do at home.

So tune in next week.

Weigh In Day and nutrition calculator

I either love fridays or hate them  one reason it is the last day before the weekend and they just drag on and you think that the work day will never end! but I love them becasue it is almost the weekend! Today I am going to choose to love them, becasue I have plans after work that I am excited to get to! Dinner date with Tracy and her family and my husband. It is going to be amazing. Side note: We are going to chipotle for dinner tonight so I thought I would try to be good so I went on there calorie  counter. (NOT GOOD) all the diet article say if your going to go out always check what you should eat first online. And I have to say if I didn't want the sour cream or the guac or the cheese it wouldn't be that bad but I want them all. My decision is to try and only it half and take it home but we will see how that goes because once you start eating there is not stoping! Don't ever add chips that just makes it ten times worse. The address is below if you want to see how healthy your burrito is.
http://www.chipotle.com/en-US/menu/nutrition_calculator/nutrition_calculator.aspx

Today weigh in went well nothing like last week three pounds but it was close I lost two and I am happy with that. I have been eating better and drinking lots of water so much that I have given my self a headache once or twice by it ( which I didn't know was possible) but I am glad that there is still progress which mean I will do it again for another week. Thirty minutes a day thats all it takes and adding in some weight lifting and your set accept don't do to much or you will have jelly arms the next day like I have them now.

Finally just something that brings a smile to my face my husband sometimes goes on trip and gets free stuff like stress ball and cold drink holders. This morning he gave me the below present and I think it is so stinkying cute! Its a stress ball helmet and its little.

Week one -Check

So I finished week one! I was a little concerned about this week because at the beginning I had eating out a bit but I tried to choose wisely when selecting what to eat out. I exercise every day but Sunday and Tuesday. I even lifted weights which is not as bad as I thought but to be honest I am not very good at it I have to get my form down. I had Jake watch me do it to make sure that I was doing it correctly and not bending the wrong way. So today was weight in day and I kept telling myself if nothing changes I am just going to give up and be happy with where I am. I guess I can't take that road becuase I have lost three pounds this week which is good I think. It also means that what I am doing is actually working so I need to keep going. So next week it is going to be the same thing 30 mintues of working out mostly every day and healthier smaller portions.

Pounds lost :3

Total weight : 147

One week down and one to go!

P.s I had a taco salad this week homemade by Katie to die for! So good! Thanks again!

Day 1

So I did it, I got up this morning at 5:30 and I went running/walking. I came home did 30 crunches and 30 push ups. I feel good right now but I am worried once lunch time hits that I might need to take a nap! So the first day is done. Now to the second, I am hoping it will be easier then the first but that is wishful thinking.

Day one:Weight 150 (I don't want to see this number again)

I can do it!

Recently I have put on a little weight. Maybe it is the freshmen fifteen hiting me my senior year or maybe it is marriage, every one says you always get heavier after you get married. I didn't think I would ever have that problem because I have always weighed around 135 my whole life. But recently I have put on an extra ten or so pound and let me tell you it is not my favorite. So starting tomorrow it is time to exercise more and watch what I am eating. I am not going to go crazy but I am going to try simple steps to help me. Ps this blogs is one of the simple steps. They say if you make it public that you are try to loosing weight people will ask you about it so you will feel more obligated to do. I didn't put it on facebook because I didn't want that many people to know just my sisters who read this and maybe some close friends who happen upon this post.
So, Simple Steps to help other then running/walking every morning.
1. Drink more water ( Time to invest in a big water bottle)
2. Try to cut down on egg and dairy (They say cheese is every ones weekness but I will try to be strong)
3. Cut down on sweets. I didn't want to say I was cutting them off completely but maybe just less the intake.
4. More yogurt when it comes to snacking
5. It says to take up a hobby so you are not just sitting watching T.V. and you wont think about cravings. As of yesterday I started to make a skirt so that will be my first distraction.
Finally during my walk slash running it says you will help your calorie burn if you walk, run, sprint and repeat, we will see how well that goes.

Starting tomorrow is day one. My goal is to lose ten pounds by August 1st. So I will weight in tomorrow morning then check it every Friday maybe I will post the weight maybe not. Wish me luck and hopefully I don't sleep in my first day

Date night

Sometimes I get ahead of myself and I have these crazy ideas that come into my head and my husband is nice and he just goes along with me. So I had promised my friends at work that I would bring in homemade donuts. Then we got a hold of a Cinnamon rolls recipe that we wanted to try and it was chicken wing Friday. So on Friday we made home made chicken wings, rolls and donuts. Let me tell you when the oven is on for so long it gets a little messy and hot in this tiny apartment. Overall we were very successful and here are the pictures to prove it!

So my husband was wonderful and made the rolls all my himself and I made the donuts and chicken wings and then there is us at the end of the night full and tired!

The post you all have been waiting for!

PICTURES!

So to start off this is our kitchen that has stuff every where on the counter tops but we probably use it all (most of the time)

This is our fun table. If you look you can see little boxes on the table. My mother bought my Charlie Brown Halloween ornaments, they are so freaking cute!

This is our living/family room. If you notice on the blue chair our first pet together (pillow pet) we love him and we have fun hiding him around the apartment so the other person finds him randomly!

This is our bathroom.

Our TINY washer and dryer, it takes to cycles for it to actually dry anything

This is our extra room which is the office where if one of us has homework and the other does this is where we go to get it done.

The perfect size dresser that fits in that tiny little nook.

Our Cal king bed that was wonderful donated by Mama Alice and Papa Terry!

Finally this is the closet that we hide everything extra in. I try to keep the doors close for the most part but sometimes they just bust open from amount of stuff....

Back to school

I figured since I have some free time I should update you all on my exciting married life in Rexburg, Id. School has officially started and so far its going to be a long semester. Luck enough for both me and Jake we have jobs on campus, he starts at 7:45-11 everyday working as a secretary in the academic advisory center, which he has to wear shirt and tie every day which he doesn't enjoy but he looks really good in. I on the other had only work three days a week at the gym on campus working 5 am-10. It is not so bad and we have a lot of down time at work that we are able to work on homework. We are living in a really cute two bedroom apartment, called Peterson Pointe. Jake is taking 15 credits this semester which includes Organic Chemistry which he swears is going to be the death of him. I am taking seventeen credits and with me major I feel like all the class are the same and overlap so either that is going to make life easy or become really annoying. The weather up here is still looking nice which is a plus for the first week of school by it can go from good to horrible in a matter of days so were keeping our fingers crossed that it stays good. I was so good and took pictures of my apartment to post but they are still on my camera at home so hopefully I will be able to post them within the next day. O also in our ward every one either has a baby or is pregnant OR is on their third child. Every one says that's what I get for moving into a two bedroom apartment so hopefully it is not something in the water at church or I am going to start becoming inactive (not really). Well that's my little update on our lives. Jake wants me to change my blog name because I am not Just Sam Busath any more so if any one has any suggestions I am open for them cause I am just not creative!

Missing Someone

Just a disclaimer before reading the rest I love all my siblings equally. They all mean the world to me and I love being with all of them!!

But....

There is one that I am really missing right now. My oldest. She is living her new adventure in idaho. I am so proud of the courage that she has shown and the love and support she has given her family. She is doing great and living life and getting use to the changes of not being in California any more but let me just say I miss her. I don't want her to come back cause that would be wrong of me but I do miss her. I love her dearly and soon enough we will be a little closer together when I go back to school but I just have to say that it is still a little wierd that I can't go over to here house before work and she will fix me lunch. But I love our random phone calls and we will probably get into picture messaging more so i can see her boys. I love her!

So this blog is a shout out to her that I love her and miss her but so proud of her and I look up to her for all the courage that she has shown and want to thank her for all the support that she has always given me!

Ps Andi we have alot of pictures together! We look the best in this one

I took lots of pictures so I could post them for every one to see how amazing it was but sadly I took them on my mom camera and don't have that with me up at school. This BBQ shower was amazing and the found was great and the weather was perfect even if i did get a sun burn on my arms! But thank you sisters for coming together and working so hard to make me feel special cause you truly did! Thank you so much and I love you so much and thank you for every one that came!

Just a little update

So I thought it could be fun to give every one a little back round on Jake and I. Me and Jake became friends in April. He came home from school and started to attend the singles ward. We became friends in the beginning and then started to hang out a lot more and then started to hang out one on one around august. Summer was coming to a close and Jake would be heading back to school soon and I did not want to be a what if person so I told him I liked him more then a friend. He said that he liked me to but he did not want to do long distance he said we could date when I am up to BYU I in the winter. I was sadly heart broken but it was fine he said he promised that we would remain friends. So I started to go to school and he went back to Idaho. Come to find out he did not realize how much he liked me until he left. So we continued to talk. I had planned a trip to conference so he promised he would come down to see me in October in Provo. He did and when he came down he took me to his missionary reunion and asked me to FINALLY be his girl friend. That weekend went by two fast and thats when we started our long distance relationship. I returned to Idaho in november to check out the campus with my parents but in reality to see Jake and have him meet my parents. That weekend was amazing and got my really excitied to start attending BYUI. So then time went out he came home for thanksgiving and christmas and then we went to BYU I together. This experiences has been amazing and has taught me alot like I didn't think I could miss my family this much and also the library is your best friend and will help you get good grades. So time went on and I was missing my family so my dad had boughten me a ticket home to see my nephew Lucas get baptized. So I was really hoping that Jake would ask me to marry him by then cause we had be talking about it alot. So the day before I leave he picks me up to go to the library and he tells me he is in a bad mood. The reason being is that he had ordered me a ring and he was going to be the best boy friends ever cause i would have it before i left but they had ordered the wrong ring. My heart sank but I put on a happy face and said it was fine. The next day he asked me if i wanted to go to dinner with him sense i would be gone the whole weekend so we got all dressed up and went to olive garden which it was nice then we drove home. We went to his apartment and I had to many soda's so i went to use the bathroom ( Don't worry the bathroom is down stairs the rooms are up stairs so I wasn't breaking BYUI rules ) I come out to find him holding a beautiful thing of gerber daisy. I asked him is this for not being able to get the ring he looked at me and said that he had that to. He put the flowers down and got done on one knee and asked me to marry him! So....
I AM GETTING MARRIED !!!!!!
on July 30 and I am so excited.

Here is the ring I know its the same picture that most of you have seen but I like it :)

If you need something to do.

Up at school I am taking a children lit class which is basically me reading a billion children books. Our "text book" for this class is called "The Read Aloud Handbook" by Jim Trelease. This book is all about the importance of reading out loud to children and about what books can do for children growing up. I have enjoyed this so much that I thought I would share it will you. So if you ever wonder if you should read to your children or is it really worth it... it is!! I would urge all to read this book its very inspiring and will make you want to read to your kids every night starting from day one.

Well now that it is week four

I feel like I should blog again. The sad thing is I don't have any thing to blog about. School is crazy and my new best friend is the library. Who knew I could learn to be quiet for long period of time. It's weird I know. Let me tell you it pays off. I just took my first test as a college student in the testing center and I walked away thinking that I did pretty well. So I guess all those hours studying really do pay off. Watch, I get my test back and I did horrible. Just cross your fingers for me. Other then studying I haven't done all that much. I have found my favorite burger joint ever! One pro to rexburg is this burger joint called Sammys. It is truly the best burger I have ever had. Well maybe I was a little hungry when I eat it but still it was super good. They have really good milk shakes too. I treated myself to one of them yesterday! Thats right it was 20 degrees outside and I was eating a milk shake. Well thats my life burgers and studying. What is happening to me in this place! Well I will try to be better with the pictures but who wants pictures of snow cause its every where. I do have one picture. We were lucky enough to enjoy a three day weekend thank you Dr. Martin Luther King. Jake and I went down to Logan, Utah to visit him family down there. It was a really fun trip and we are hoping to go again. But here is a picture of us bowling for his cousins birthday
